Windsor Review banner

The Windsor Review was founded by William H. Walker in 1876. In 1916 The Review was acquired by Charles H. Burgess and consolidated with The Four County Windsorite. Following his death in 1934, publishing and editing was taken over by his wife, Ermine C. Burgess. In 1936 she purchased The Windsor Star, consolidating the two papers under the Windsor Review. The Review was sold again in 1949 to E.C. Lewis. In 1959, the paper was purchased by publisher James C. Kirkpatrick, Missouri’s Secretary of State from 1965-1985.
